2002 Expanding Universe: The Recent Paintings of Al Held

The minimal installation of this exhibition showcased just six of Held’s later paintings, monumental abstractions that represent his idea that “everything is interconnected and constantly expanding.” Held referred to the space in these paintings as “non-gravitational” and “multi-dimensional.”
